The model Original Montgomery London Duffle Coat Black differs from classical duffle coats with tight cut, detachable hood and big wide collar, which protects the throat from wind and cold. At the same time, it has all the details typical of traditional duffle coats: long toggles of horn, massive leather loops, shoulder pads and very spacious outside pockets.
The fabric used for making the model London Black from Original Montgomery is made in Italy and has two layers. It consists of wool with the addition of polyester and is characterised with long period of service. Moreover, it is nice to the touch and resistant to discolourment. You can wear duffle coat made of this fabric even at 16-18 degrees below zero, not least because hood, collar and shoulder pads give additional protection from cold and wind. The hood can be unfastened, if needed.
Black duffle coats look quite neutral, so they match to a lot of items. For example, they can be successfully combined with jeans, tweed or corduroy pants, chinos made of thick fabrics, some suits. Avoid too light pants and jeans and black models, grey or navy variants will be a better choice. A good complement will be quite thick knitted items and odd jackets made of textured fabrics. However, if you wish, you can wear a duffle coat over a shirt or thin polo-neck, particularly as exactly this model has tight design.
